Our Drum Lamp Bases are hand painted in our Oxfordshire studio.  The design of these lamps is inspired by a pair of antique cloisonné lamp bases.  Cloisonne is a way of enamelling an object, typically made of copper, whereby fine wires are used to delineate the decorative areas into which enamel paste is applied before the object is fired and polished.  

This pair is unusual because their motifs are stamped into a gesso finish and then hand decorated.  One pair available, silver leaf on top and base.
